The server heat load is dissipated into the process cold water system through an air-to-water heat exchanger in the bottom of the rack. Redundant high-performance fans drive closed loop air circulation in the rack’s interior, while servers are supplied with cold air at the front of the rack.
Liebert XDP is a system matched pumping unit, designed to support Liebert XD System spot/zone cooling modules. The indoor pumping units circulate the refrigerant to the cooling modules at a temperature always above the actual dew point to prevent condensation. All functions, such as switching pumps (if applicable), controlling refrigerant temperature, etc., are automatic.

The Liebert DataCool is an overhead cooling system designed to be installed above heat dissipating equipment. Two (2) fan trays draw hot air exhausted from the equipment through a cooling coil and discharge cool air back down to the equipment. The system consists of DataCool fan coils, Coolant Distribution Units, power and signal cabling and interconnecting piping. The DataCool fan coil can be equipped with an optional air filter. A coolant distribution unit (CDU) controls the fluid temperature for up to five (5) DataCool units, preventing the water temperature from causing coil condensation.
